Today is Sept 29, 2012. Its a Saturday, everyone is out having fun and I'm sick in bed. So why not make a blog right? I can be the next Jenna Hamilton... except without all the male drama. My love life is a disaster. Every guy that I liked never liked me back or at least not in that way. To make it worse my so called best friend hooked up with my crush that I've liked since the 6th grade (5 years ago). This might sound insensitive but I can't wait until they break up... if they ever do. I'll be damned if they have a wedding and decide to invite me. Yeah, no, just completely rub it in my face. Whatever. My grandpa was right whenever a lady says whatever it does mean fuck you. Their new found relationship feels like its going to be the death of me but I have to realize that my life isn't a complete disaster, my career / passion is on the move. I've been playing saxophone seriously a little over a year now.
And in this time I've :
1. Met, bonded, took an unexpected picture with Christian McBride (at bottom) & I'm proud to say he helped me with my first solo.
2. Went to Jazz House Kids summer program twice.
3. Performed at Trumpets (a popular jazz club in Montclair).
4. Performed at the Lincoln Center at Dizzy's Club Coca Cola.
5. Got a private teacher, Ed Palermo, for free!
6. Became lead alto in my schools jazz band.
7. Became more confident / louder in my solos which is a big deal since I'm usually shy.
Not too shabby for a 16 year old girl huh?
